Kiwanis Key Club
Key Club is a service organization for high school students. As a student-led organization, Key Club's goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. Key Clubs are coordinated by a Kiwanis Club Member and a High School staff member. Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg sponsors the Key Club at Susquehanna High School.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Harrisburg Kiwanis Club Youth Foundation, Inc. Edith Langford Class Scholarship Trust was established in 1961. The Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg awards twelve Edith Class Scholarships annually, each valued at $3,000, to graduating seniors from Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties.
These scholarships aim to support students in their pursuit of higher education by providing financial assistance to help cover tuition and related expenses. The selection process considers academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and community service, ensuring that recipients demonstrate a commitment to their personal and academic growth. By offering these scholarships, the organization seeks to foster educational advancement and empower young individuals to achieve their academic and career goals, thereby contributing positively to the community.
Kiwanis Club members actively review applications, interview applicants, and award recipients at their Senior Awards ceremonies.
GRANTS
In 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg granted over 28 grants to organizations in the Harrisburg Community for almost $32,000. In 2025, we awarded about $30,000 in grants.
